HK Trust is a "Trust Company" registered under section 78(1) of the Hong Kong Trustee Ordinance (Cap.29). The supervisory body overseeing Hong Kong Trust Companies under the Ordinance is a department of the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

HK Trust is not linked to or part of a larger underwriting bank, investment bank, commercial bank, trust bank or other major financial institution. HK Trust is therefore generally not encumbered by 'relationship' or 'conflict' consideration common at large institutions. This independence allows us to provide a more flexible and effective service to a broader range of clients on the debt, advisory or investment side. We administer each deal based on the practical considerations of what is most appropriate for the parties and for the transaction to achieve results beneficial to all parties.
